Security & API Access

CryptoSignalCircle is built with security and transparency in mind.
Your funds always remain on your exchange — CryptoSignalCircle never has access to them.

This page explains how your data is protected and how exchange API access works.

How exchange API access works

To sync your trades, CryptoSignalCircle uses read-only API keys from your exchange.

This means CryptoSignalCircle can:

  • ✅ View your completed trades
  • ✅ Retrieve historical trading data

But cannot:

  • ❌ Place trades
  • ❌ Modify orders
  • ❌ Transfer or withdraw funds
  • ❌ Access your balance for spending

You stay fully in control of your exchange at all times.

Why read-only access is safe

Read-only API access is commonly used by portfolio trackers, tax tools, and analytics platforms.

Because no trading or withdrawal permissions are granted:

  • Your funds cannot be moved
  • No changes can be made to your account
  • You can revoke access at any time

If you ever feel uncomfortable, you can simply delete the API key on your exchange.

How CryptoSignalCircle stores your API keys

Your API keys are:

  • Encrypted at rest
  • Stored securely in our infrastructure
  • Accessible only to the services that need them for syncing

We never share your API keys with third parties.

What data we collect

CryptoSignalCircle only collects what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Your synced trade history
  • Basic account information (email, account settings)
  • Metadata needed for performance calculations

For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Your control over your data

You can:

  • Disconnect an exchange at any time
  • Revoke API access directly on your exchange
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

Once disconnected, no new trade data will be synced.

Best practices when creating API keys

When setting up your exchange API key:

  • Enable read-only permissions only
  • Do not enable withdrawals or trading
  • Use a descriptive name like “CryptoSignalCircle – Read Only”
  • Create a new key specifically for this purpose

If something looks wrong

If you notice unexpected activity on your exchange:

  1. Revoke the API key immediately on your exchange
  2. Disconnect the exchange in CryptoSignalCircle
  3. Contact support if you need assistance

CryptoSignalCircle cannot move your funds — but revoking access is always the safest first step.
